Tony took up the double bass at the age of eleven, while growing up in the UK. Thanks to a strong youth music culture in his home county of Bedfordshire, he had many opportunities to perform and learn with excellent tutors. Since then, he has always made a point of playing with his local amateur and community orchestra(s).

In 2011, his work as a Mechanical Engineer brought him to Ottawa (via a Master's degree at Queen's University), and shortly after that he joined the Parkdale Orchestra. He also plays in the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra, and in his free time he can be found cross country skiing in Gatineau Park, or encouraging the vegetables at his allotment!
