As current section lead for horns in the orchestra, I have been playing regularly with the group since around 2003.  I have seen the skill and enthusiasm of the members grow every year.  I initially joined to complement my band experience, having started the horn in grade 7.  However, I eventually gave up concert band for the challenges of orchestral music.  It has been so exciting to play major orchestral works.  Further, it has been a very nice diversion from my regular day-job in mental health.  Our conductors over the years have also been key in the orchestras growth, particularly with the years of encouragement and musicianship of Angus.  I look forward to ongoing musical challenges and fun.
